Friday 4/16: Crispin is now Bear's 'servant'. As Crispin learns about Bear, he discovers that he used to be a priest, but became a wanderer. Bear mentions "a wanderers life is fragile at best". Bear would ask you "What you think of that sermon?"

If you were to become a wanderer, what would you do with your life? Who are some people or what are some careers you think would be considered a 'wandering life'.

Finally, Bear juggles and sings to earn his way through towns. What kinds of jobs or skills would serve you on the road of life?

Tuesday, 4/13: Crispin is leaving Stromford and has many different feelings. He says that he "who had never really had to make important decisions about anything now has decide EVERYTHING for himself." Describe a time that you were faced with an important decision by yourself. What were your choices? How did you decide what to do? Did you make the correct decision?

Also.. Crispin comes across an unusual man of monstrous proportions. He seems to be a bit of a lunatic. What would you think of this man that you meet in a decaying and dying town filled with people killed by plague.

Monday, 4/5: Describe a time that you found out something surprising about a friend or a family member. Tell me how you felt when you discovered this information? How did you discover this new information?

Tuesday, March 23: Try to find three interesting facts about medieval times. Use the discussion page to list your facts. Then post a comment to three other student facts. Give a brief description about where you found your facts (ie. a book, a website with the name, or another novel.)

Asta's son, a poor peasant in 14th Century England, was only 13 when his mother died and his whole world crumbled. His mourning was soon replaced by inexplicable terror when, it seemed, the whole world was suddenly determined to see him dead! On the advice of his priest, Crispin escaped from the only home he had ever known and ran into a world he had never known. With him, he carried his only possession, a cross of lead. Having no skills, no friends, no family, and no experience in finding food, Crispin's problems began to multiply.
